National Continuing Education Requirements

Code of Ethics

After completing an application and paying the appropriate fees, New REALTOR® members attend a mandatory new member Ethics, whether through a live class or online.

REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training within two-year cycles. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. The current cycle began January 1, 2017. The deadline for this cycle is December 31, 2018\


State of Idaho Continuing Education Requirements

The real estate industry is constantly changing and in order to stay on top of the trends, laws, contract changes, and practice requirements, all active real estate brokers need to complete 12 hours of continuing education during each two year license cycle as well as two consecutive year CORE Standards classes. **

First license Renewal

If it is the first renewal of your license you must have completed:

2 Core Standards classes, an 8 hour Post License Fundamentals, and one Post License Elective (The options for electives are: Pricing, Marketing & Advertising; Intro to Commercial; or Professionalism, Sales & Negotiations), and 2 Core Standards classes. **

Intermountain MLS Education Requirements

IMLS Members are required to complete Rules training within two-year cycles, the requirement may be met online or with a live class. Call IMLS 866-466-4657 for more information.
